Well, I guess to me it depends, kinda. I usually like Gender benders if the designs are good, and you can still recongise the original character. I also like it when they use it for comedy. XD

Meh, I just think it'd be just as funny with a female character, I don't see the point of just strapping a cock on it and saying 'Comedy gold!'.

The only time I found one of these funny based on the gender instead of the idea was when someone did a male verison of Rarity for the Over A Barrel train bit, that was pretty funny.

I agree. I did the genderswaps as a parody to make fun of a male perspective such as the face-mask rarity vs stubbled Elusive and Applejack's atomic buck.

It isn't about anatomy and dick jokes to me, but the differences (good and bad) of how males and females approach or react to problems

I guess that is a fine enough reason to do it....I guess I just let my distaste for genderswapping as a shipping method get in the way of being able to enjoy it.
