I had problems with (wet) hair, too. It also helps if you search for digital paintings with wet hair, where you can see the details.

I never made a digital collaboration with someone, but it seems interesting. How does this work exactly?

Well it's quite simple and we have 2 way to do that.
First- one person make background, second add the model, and all other stuff...
The second way- i make some parts, then send it to you, then you add your stuff and resend it to me, and again i add some stuff...
Of course all is sending via mail or some hosting site like sendspace, if file is too big...
