You read that right.
It's not technically a plush. It's actually carved entirely out of foam, like how I make fursuit heads. I figured that technique would allow for MUCH more detail and a MUCH better representation of the character, than a plushie would.
He has all the wonderful details of Scar.. claws on all four feet, feet completely "padded", whiskers, open mouth complete with tongue and teeth.. Not to mention his massive size.. 33" tall and 60" long (not includnig tail), weighing an incredible 25 pounds when packaged.
This was made for a particular someone. While he only provided me with the supplies, I used this opportunity to gain experience on what sort of time and work it would take to create something like this, to give me a base of what to charge for something like this in the future.
YES.. I AM taking commissions on these! Something of this same proportion would be $2300. And that is the final price to include supplies, fur, AND shipping. To figure out a price on your own, just multiply the height by the width (in inches) of how big you want it, and that is how much it will be.

Excellent job, no emotions or words can truely describe what a wonderful job you did on scar! I for one am picky when i see that someone is drawing or making scar seeing as he's my fave disney villan. I love this 100%!

Hey Dai, just a hunch, but I'd like to ask, do you work on smaller pieces? Say 12" high? An if so, how much could you expect to spend on a character plush of that size?

so ridicuously amazing. I have never seen anything like that but it is so incredible. The nerd in me is crying that she wants one but alas it is too much money to satisfy my poor inner nerd. So after you carved it out of foam (which I honestly do not entirely understand how that one works) did you then put on fur? It looks like he has a nice shiny coat of fur. Anyway, seriously amazing. Detailed, accurate, incredible, etc. you have a definite talent.

Mainly it's a bunch of pieces of foam glued together, and THEN carved/hacked away at. The fur is glued on and sewn together afterward.
