Description
My Ryzen 5800X3D, probably the last and best Gaming CPU made with a PGA or Pin Grid Array, as most CPUS have now moved to the LGA or Land Grid Array, where the pins are on the Motherboard.
placed on the NVME radiator of my MSI X570 Carbon Max Wifi.
Shot with my Nikon D300S, the Metz 58 AF-1 (main reflector only, pointed towards the window, to match the natural fall of light.)
A bit of a training shot with a big aperture and indirect flash lighting, and a bit of documentation of the new build. I rather liked how it turned out and the historical significance of this mainstream gaming CPU hit me.
With Ryzen 7000 AMD has also moved to Land Grid Array and the Ryzen 5000's were the last Mainstream CPU with a Pin Grid Array.
So I'm one of those PC Builders that went from PGA to LGA, when I went from a Phenom II X4 (935@ 3.8 ghz) to an i5-6600k @4.3 ghz and then from LGA back to PGA, with the Ryzen 5800X3D.
This that was shot with the 18-70 Kit lens that came with the D300S.
