Description
Oh he's finally done ;_; I've been working on this guy on and off for about 6 months! He's been through alot of changes, but he finally told me in the end that he wanted to be a timber wolf XDHe's about 13 inches long from nose tip to butt and is made of minky and faux fur fabrics with a faux leather nose. Eyes are hand-painted acrylic domed eyes and all coloration is done with copic marker. Legs have inner wire structure for added stability and weight.

Hello! I'm very sorry for this late reply, however I will answer your question now:
You had asked about the pricing of my realistic wolf plushes. The large ones at 12 inches long, start at $130 and can be a bit more or less expensive depending on detail.
I also have a smaller, 8 inch pattern for canines, that would be a base price of $75, which again can be a bit more or less depending on details.
Thank you for your interest Let me know if you have any questions!

This is an absolutely beautiful plush! Probably the most realistic wolf plushie I've ever seen. I wonder about the copics though, wouldn't they smear or rub off eventually? And wouldn't it make him impossible to be washed? I've never actually used them, but I hear air brushing is the way to go for detailed color like this :3

Actually, contrary to popular belief (somehow), Copics are a permanent marker that are alcohol based, not water based, so they do a wonderful job of staying on the fabric (on slippery surfaces like plastic, glass and metal though, its a different story and they wash off) When you touch the plush the ink does not rub off on your hands. I would never suggest throwing the plush in the washing machine, but it should stand up to some simple hand washing and spot cleaning. Some of the extra color may come out, but it would in no way just wash out completely.

coloring with copic .__. i did that once on some hairs, but it kinda comes off a bit and it gets unwashable even with hand.. or does it stay in after a while? must have sucked up a lot of color to do this

WhittyKitty In reply to Tropicanine [2012-03-01 23:14:35 +0000 UTC]
what colors did you use? i know some of the more intense colors like blues and purples tend to rub off easily. the lighter ones like browns and greys stay in quite well though
It did take quite a bit of time and ink. i go through copics like crazy and i don't even illustrate!

xD ah well i love todraw with them , i bought all ciaos that were existing, but i noticed i use them rare lately, since im mor einto aquarelle and digital art. oh well i used them to paint my shoes, since i cant buy so many fabric colors.. for water it should stay on i guess. i painted the hairs of a old my lil pony with a greenish blue, like my chara has on the icon

So the Copics hold their color in the fur, and don't rub off? Really now! Have you had any issues with the ink not setting properly?
God this is amazing, the markings are to die for.

I would say 99% of the copics do extraordinarly well on fabric and most fur. I find that the darker browns and deep reds like to rub off a little. And there's a fur fabric i think..made from rayon mostly? It's very silky shiny fur, but copics do HORRIBLY on that stuff. It just slips right off. But if you use it on the normal acrylic or acrylic blend fur, which is most higher end fur fabrics, it stays in perfectly. As long as you wait a couple days, the copics set just fine. and if you brush the fur constantly during application, it doesn't create a hard or crusty feel afterwards. Miracle markers!

WOW this is...simply remarkable. If I ever have children I am hoping to heaven you are still making plush or have some crazy super famous business so I could get some large animal friends. It reminds me of those grand giant toys they had back in the day when FAO schwarts was really big like...well in the movie big, I remember going to one and they had beautiful realistic plush like this that made nose and moved a lil. they didnt need to move they were already cool. JUST LIKE THIS!
