This drawing reminds me the movie X-Men, there was a mutant who pulled off the skin a species of needles! anyway i love it, very beautiful, great work!

This is a really powerful piece. The focus on the hand trying to push on the glass is very impactful. And everything is in such stark detail. And my God, the colors! This is just wonderful. Instant fave.

Very nice... I don't often follow DDs as a rule on dA, content to just stick to my little literary corner and scribble, but I saw this and clicked it immediately.
I'm no "artiste", and I'm certainly not so full of unwarranted self-importance that I'm going to claim any right to critique on ANY manner of professional level, however, it's not *critics* you're trying to reach, it's the common person on the street. Right?
So as an average person, who has to drudge day to day, paycheck to paycheck, I have to say I really like this on a few levels... First, it took me aback with my perception of the colors. They just blend so nice, very appealing. Now, this is what may have drawn me in, but it's some of the detail that makes it mesmerizing...
To put it simply, I detect a mermaid. *HOWEVER*, most representations of mermaids, same as, for example, "angels", depict them in some manner or other of a hightend "perfection"; no blemishes, no questioning as to the veracity of their beauty... This work struck me as different...
We can see that the skin is not all pure, not all one continuous envelope of purity... There are the spines reminiscent of a sea urchin, the edges of flesh that are embossed with seaweed. We are, in essence, made to "question beauty" yet revel in a visual amalgamation of the beauty of the sea.
It's very thought provoking. Well done.
