Here it is, my picture of the 'infamous' penis-sorbet moment from the Friends In Deed sneak-peek screening of the RENT movie + Q&A with (from left) Anthony Rapp (Mark), Adam Pascal (Roger), Wilson Jermaine Heredia (Angel) and Tracie Thoms (Joanne).The words leading up to this snapshot were as follows:
Question: "This one's for Anthony. If I were to take you out to dinner, what would you like for dessert?"
Audience: "Ooooooooooh."
Anthony Rapp: "...that's kind of personal. No, but, I'd like...sorbet. Or a vegan cobbler which I make /very well/, by the way-"
Adam Pascal: "He likes it with a penis."
Audience: (hysterical laughter)
Wilson Jermaine Heredia: (dies laughing)
Tracie Thoms: "It's okay, Anthony, I like it that way too!"

Well the reason I didn't know was because there's actually a stupid little icon out there somewhere with that bit of dialogue (sans Wilson and Tracie as the peanut gallery). I thought it was someone's dumb sense of humor ... but knowing that it's true, that's just amazing in many, many ways.

I love this. So much. I knew about the dialouge between Adam and Anthony, but I didn't know about Tracie's response. Did I mention how much I love her? With a burning passion?
This makes me proud to say that I've talked about vegan desserts with Anthony. On the other hand, we have not talked about penises and I really wouldn't count on it.
