Well...I bought new water painting paper today, but I don't believe it was the right paper I bought, although I was certain it was... Damn!
The paper have so much to do with how the painting turns out, and I hate getting the wrong paper. Wasting amount of money on paper that's not even worth looking at O.o GRRR!
Anyway, I just made this painting of Zelda to test the paper, and it was an old sketch laying around.
I used maybe... 2-3 hours? I'm not sure.
Not pleased with the color, nor the paper. DAMNIT!!!

i agree, it is just awful when you buy wrong kind of paper : ( but anyway, this is just wonderful ! i love these colors too. and i just fell in love with her jewellery ! :--DDD ! they're so beautiful.

It does look a little more "fuzzy" than im used to see in your drawing.
But i do however know how difficult it is to paint details with water painting, compared to pencile or pc drawing software like PS.
I also love the idea of the setting and angle you drew Zelda. Looks as if she is in deep thoughts/wating for someone...Link maybe?...or she might be wondering when the snow will go away

What kind of paper did you buy?
And did you test both sides of it?
Sometimes i find myself painting on the wrong side of the paper , heheh ; _ ;

well, last time I found a paper I loved it was " the langton". Which I also bought now, But at the store there were 2 different types of "langton" and I guess I bought the wrong one

I personally love Arches France watercolour paper, I find it absorbs the colors really well, and it usually dosen't warp too much like some other sheets tend to do ^_^
