Back in the mid 70's Fisher-Price created a line of 3¾ action figures (some such as the kids were a little smaller) called "Adventure People". The line was mostly real world type people such as news-people, campers, pilots, rescue workers, etc... In the early 80's they expand the line into Sci-Fi type including robots and aliens. The X-Ray Man (and X-Ray Woman) had a translucent body with painted-on chest panel and opaque head.
