Description
As night falls in the rainforests of Borneo, we see a common tree shrew that has been spotted by its enemy, the reticulated python. Pythons cannot see well in the dark, so they have special tools to locate prey. Pits on the python's upper lip hold special heat-sensitive organs that help the python detect a prey's body heat. As the reticulated python slithers very close to the tree shrew, it strikes. But, the tree shrew escapes the python's jaws. Oh well, better luck next time.
