Here we have an eastern screech owl and a wood duck at the same time. Now, the wood duck in this picture is a male, but one female removed the screech owl's eggs and laid three of her own. Just then, the screech owl drives the female wood duck away but then incubated the new eggs for about a month, until they hatched. Eventually, the screech owl preened the ducklings, brooded them, and attempted to feed them.
