Description
This is Joho Darkstrider, my mate's primary NERO character. He's a Wolven (a magically-created hybrid race with elf and wolf origins), an explosives expert, and the commander of the most widespread and successful band of hired thugs in NERO, which is no mean feat for an international, multi-chapter LARP. Here, Joho sits around the fire with his men and talks shop. Having eyes with tapetums means you get to look intimidating even when you're kicking back.

The fact that Joho does not look remotely wolf-like is neither my fault nor his. That responsibility rests solely on the shoulders of the creators of the race. Their recommendations for racial makeup don't reflect much intention toward realism or even recognizability. I tease Hil incessantly, calling Joho a German Shephard anthro.

At the risk of stating the obvious, I pretty much phoned in the markering on the hood. In my defense, the original work is 11"x14", and after about two hours at it, trying to blend about twelve colors of gray was driving me batty. I often have the unfortunate combination of mural-sized ambitions and a conbage-sized attention span
