Description
Introducing the first ever seen design of Queen Variel, Duman and Nyx's mother. Best known for: being a witch from Cloud Tower, marrying into the Merulian royal life through her husband King Hades, attempted murder, and being an over all bitch. Make no mistake, she rules her kingdom well, leading her people into a world of prosperity and peace, but when it comes to her family, she's not the best mother. Her children hate her guts, and several members of the palace staff have silently been planning a rebellion every since Variel attempted to kill their princess.

Variel's magic is sensory deprivation. She can basically make a person go numb or emotionless with a single touch to bare skin.

Variel is highly narcisstic, arrogant, and cruel. She cares deeply about her self image, and in turn makes sure her children are always picture perfect, pushing them into lessions that will make her look better, not often caring about what they want to do. Want to learn guitar? You get violin or piano lessons instead. Interested in sports? You're attending a highly sophisticated ball instead and you best be on your best behavior.

Duman had it rough... Nyx gets it rougher.

Variel went to Cloud Tower during the same time frame that Aphrodite (Persephone's mom), went to Alfea. They crossed paths quite a bit, and Aphrodite highly disapproves of Variel.
