Name came to me and I thought it'd make an awesome Viking name. I've been watching the How to Train Your Dragon 2 (LOVE IT) and decided to create a new OC. My others are.... well, consider them prototypes.

Her name is Ruthless but she goes by Ruth. Her father named her before she was born, convinced he had fathered a powerful son.

Only to have an one-armed daughter born. She is a natural amputee, her umbilical cord having cut off any chance of her right arm ever forming (it does happen in animals so I'm assuming it can happen with humans). Her name stuck and unfortunately, she had to stick around with her father. He hated having a daughter, let alone one who was clearly weaker and worked her to the bone to try to make her stronger.

That strength is what allowed her to flee her home, never to return again. She traveled by land and by water, eventually coming across an egg abandoned. Assuming that it had nothing alive in it, she resorted to eat it the next morning only to find it hatched with a dragon she'd never seen. She named it Thistlehiss and it's been her companion ever since.

About Thistlehiss. It would be a he, it's a water-based dragon with the sub power of sound. It's extremely young, takes a long time to mature, and once fully grown, will be as big as a baby whale, with familiar features of the Loch Ness (with a very long tail and neck, and eventually shorter limbs).
