Name: Phobos
Nickname: Phob, Phobie, Phebie
Meaning: It is Greek meaning: fear.
Phobos is also the name of a moon of Mars, named after the Greek god of fear and panic.
In Greek mythology, Phobos is the god of fear and panic, and he is the son of Ares and Aphrodite.
The word Phobia is derived from Phobos, meaning irrational panic.

Description: Phobos is a warm sand colour base, with a warm light brown overcoat, cream underbelly, and mid tone brown rosettes and dorsal stripe. They are rather short, having dwarfism, causing them to have stubby legs, but have an average to long tail.

Dominant: Golden Pelt, Dorsal Stripe, Cream Underbelly, Purple Eyes, Speckled.
Recessive: Dwarfism, Large Spots, Long Tail.
Carrier: Brown Pelt, Tan Pelt, Green Eyes, Blue Eyes, Yellow Eyes, Ear Spots, Strawberry/Erythrism, Leucism, Albinism, Malenism, Piebald.

• Responsible | Mature "It’s just as much my fault as it is theirs."
Phobos tries to be a miniature adult quite often. They do their best to be responsible and try to look mature to the adults around them. They will mimic speech patterns of the adults they are closest to, wanting to be taken seriously. Though it often leads to a few chuckles escaping said adults. Phobos is often rather calm in the chaos, thinking first and never letting their emotions control them.

• Self-Critical "I’m sorry Mama, I’ll try harder next time."
They are their own worst critic. Always trying to better themselves, especially if there is the slightest bit of upset or disappointment from their parents. They dream of working hard and earning the respect of some of the greatest felines, despite their limitations. This has Phobos always trying to improve themselves along with finding easier ways to work with their limitations.

• Shy | Timid "H-hello… it’s nice to meet you…"
Phobos doesn’t really like meeting new felines, and likes their space from most others. Just being around others they aren’t familiar with puts them on edge. It could be that they worry about judgement for their appearance or limitations, or they just don’t know if they can trust the felines they meet. After getting to know Phobos, they’ll warm up, but they won’t go out of their way to interact.

• Observant | Patient "Just sit and watch, you’ll get more answers that way."
Phobos loves to just watch and see how things unfold. Whether that’s watching their siblings play fight, a discussion between adults, or the apprentices training. They’ve learnt that patience will usually get you the answers you want to your questions or requests, and watching others gives you the tools you need. They learn from others making the mistakes, instead of making them and getting hurt themselves.

• Caring | Loyal "It hurts me to see you get hurt… please be more careful."
They want to help anyone that they can, not only because they wish to improve themselves, but that they want the best for all those around them. It is nearly impossible for them to want to wish harm on anyone. Phobos not only cares, but is willing to do whatever they can for their family and empire, wanting them to prosper.

• Protective | Stubborn "I will not simply stand by as you put yourself in danger!"
This has started to show as a cub, but will show more as they get older. As stated, Phobos wants the best for their family, and do not wish to ever see their siblings struggle, which has them being a little overprotective sometimes. Showing them acting like a big protective sibling, which is one of the few things that Phobos will be stubborn about. If their siblings are determined to do something that Phobos deems as stupid, they will be determined to make sure they go with their siblings if they can’t convince them, to make sure they have guidance during their craziness.

History: After the two finally escaping the city, and becoming mates upon their return to the empire, Liora and Ira were given the wonderful yet surprising news of cubs being on the way.

They had 5 little ones, all named after planets, stars, moons and other celestial bodies. One of these being Phobos, named after a moon and the god of fear, the name keeping fear away from the cub. They hoped Phobos would never feel the fear they had experienced in the city.

Phob loves their siblings deeply, and only wants the best for them. Often acting like the oldest sibling in trying to guide and keep their siblings out of trouble, usually getting dragged along with it. For now the mischief and attempting at adulting is small and inconsequential, but we will see what the future holds for Phob and their siblings.

• The concept for the design was done years ago for an Ac as a hypo for Liora and Ira. (Been looking forwards to making this baby ever since!)
• Finding a name was hard at first, but the first of the two and larger moon of Mars, seemed perfect. (The moon has gotten too close to Mars and has started to get torn apart by the gravity. Which I found was really cool.)
