Continuing my tribute to Seussical, Horton the elephant meets his kindred spirit in Jojo, the misunderstood son of the Mayor of Whoville.

Another great thing about Seussical was it had the greatest Horton ever, Kevin Chamberlin. He had Horton nailed - innocent, but not dimwitted, I'm not sure Jim Carrey understands that difference. And Kevin's singing voice is still so moving, he is the greatest Horton. Hans Conried, from Chuck Jones' cartoon version, runs a close second. That cartoon and the musical deviated from the original story more than the Jim Carrey version, but they both captured the essence of it much more.
