Radical Racer / Transportation - Flat Dragon
Flat Dragon is a single flat entity, taking on the shape of a driver and vehicle.
Many have speculated on the true nature of this mysterious and secretive racer; magically enchanted paper, 2-dimensional lifeform, or nano-sheet robot, to name a few
Flat Dragon can take many forms, but chooses one that fits the spirit of whatever race they are competing in.

Special Trick - reform
Flat Dragon is able to refold itself at will, often to change aerodynamics mid-race, or squeeze through/under gaps between obstacles or other drivers.
Larger, and even complete transformations are possible, but not used if they ruin the spirit of the race.

Lucky Charm - Orange Glasses
Flat Dragon has no eyes ("seeing" by detecting vibrations, similar to echolocation or sonar), but will wear a pair of orange glasses. These glasses serve as a focal point when talking with others, in an otherwise blank expression (although, having no mouth, Flat Dragon "talks" by vibrating its surface, like an electric speaker).

About the artwork

Flat Dragon was designed and folded by me, from a single half-piece of A2 paper.

The smaller Flat Dragons (to display the Special Trick) were folded from a half-piece of A4 paper, to the same design.

The small pairs of orange glasses on Flat Dragon were simply cut out of paper, and coloured orange. large pair of orange glasses is a generic pair of orange glasses I have.

The orange obstacles to demonstrate Flat Dragon's ability, were made of the same white paper coloured orange, as the smaller glasses, and folded into shape.

There are 2 variants of this, one with a wooden background, the other with a white background. I don't know which works best, as my skill is in Origami, not photography, so I posted them both.

Other notes:
When making the obstacles (to display the "special trick", I considered using rocks for the vertical obstacle, and a pair of scissors for the horizontal one - a reference to Rock-Paper-Scissors - but decided against it, as it would be unclear if there was a pair of giant scissors on a racetrack, or if my racer was as small as a pair of scissors (they're human sized, just like the racers they compete against).

More about Flat Dragon

Every flat surface on Flat Dragon can vibrate, or detect vibrations.

Flat Dragon uses these vibrations to move (similar to acoustic levitation), as the wheels are unable to freely rotate, and are mostly just for show.

Flat Dragon is technically blind, unable to read digital displays, or perceive colour, but can detect vibrations so precisely, that they view the world in high-definition echo-location.

Flat Dragon can create vibrations of audible wavelengths - that is to say, can speak, even though they have no mouth. Similar to how an electronic speaker vibrates to produce sound.

While Flat Dragon can take many forms, they choose to take a vehicle-and-driver form similar for to other racers, to stay within the spirit of the race. Flat Dragon can also take a fully humanoid form, for interacting with people away form the racetrack. In this form, they can still hover, but mostly walks, as is humanoid convention.

Driver/vehicle stats.
- Low weight (about 1/10th of competing vehicles)
- Low acceleration
- High top speed
- Handling, traction, and breaking, are poor at low speeds, but good at high speeds.

Flat Dragon uses a form of "hovering" to move, which takes a few seconds to get up to power. Once at high speed Flat Dragon can alter their aerodynamics at any moment, to prioritise speed or traction.
