Thanks! I did this piece before the show came out. This is actually what her original design looked like but in the end it was scrapped for budgetary reasons. There are still a few images floating around on the net from the pilot episode where she looked like this, but I think Cartoon Network has been systematically taking them down.

I think this version is kind of cool. Maybe change the hair just a tiny bit not much. Looks kind of like a hood.

This is so great! Although I love Garnet's hair in the show, the hair here definitely fits Garnet's look as well! The shoulder pads and the lipstick colour are my two favourite parts of this, that and how cool Garnet looks! You drew her old design so well!

Yeah. I used to work at Nickelodeon and some friends of a friend who worked at Cartoon Network told us about this show before it came out. I instantly fell in love with her design and did this piece before they changed it.

What was it like to work for Nickelodeon?

It was really cool. The people that worked there were awesome and they were really flexible with their work hours. They also gave us 2 1/2 weeks off during Christmas and New Years every year and that didn't count against our vacation, plus we got paid for it. My entire department got laid off though so I had to move on from there.
