Description
Before he was a gladiator, he was a slave miner, at least that what I think. There are many fan fiction stories of him in past that portrayed him as a worker miner before he was force to fight in the Pits of Kaon.

Back then he was more slimmer and less buff then what he is today. His attitude was different, as his expression is shown in this picture. Constantly aware of his surrounding and even a bit nerves or fearful.

Accidents happens in the mines all the time, I believe that how his father or sire died. However Megatron was lucky enough to survived the brutal environment of the mines. With potential threats from other mechs and devastating occurrence in the mines. There no telling what could happen in the pits of those dreadful mines.

Here the short story, its really more of a drabble actually.

Young Megatron has been working in the mines for Primus knows how long. He rarely gets any energon rations, and sometimes he would be too tired and miserable to work. But he has to look alive in order for the slave master not to whip him.

Every smash he makes with his pick, always seems to tired him out. The odor wasn't the only thing that bothers him, but the dust it self was enough to make even the most hardy of mechs to wheeze. And when ever he hits hard metallic surface with his pick, the dust just poof out of the rough walls, contaminating his insides.

Accidents always happens in the mines, some are small others are large. When there is an explosion or a mass cave in, the bodies of the unfortunate piles up. But what did slave masters care, when ever someone dies in the mines they get easily replaced.

Although Megatron tries to mind his business while working in the mines, he can't seem to stop looking at the other unfortunate mechs that were being bullied and raped by the larger and tougher miners. They get the chance to do these unspeakable crimes whenever the slave masters or foremen are not around. Such crimes has driven the victims mad and the environment of this horrid place just make it worse,
thus suicide becomes common here.

Unfortunately a group of larger mechs had their eyes on Megatron for a while. And whenever the slave masters temporary leave the area to answer a distress call further down in the mines again. They took the opportunity to confront him. Megatron hesitantly raise his pick as his only defense weapon against the larger brutes. They look at him and laughed, mocking him and his weapon. Megatron snap in anger, and slash one of the larger brutes with his pick. The larger Mech scream in pain as he was slashed in the eye. Megatron tried to hit him again this time aiming for his head. However the larger brute dodge it and punch Megatron in the gut.

The young miner was thrown down to the ground as he was quickly surrounded by five large mechs. All four of them hold him down while the leader of the group came closer to him. From there on, all of the other mechs could hears his cries and screams, begging for them to stop.

After that indecent, he became frighten and extra weary of them. And it became worse when he started to become a every day target.

One day he was saved by a larger unknown mech that fought them with his pick and his claws. He beat them to a bloody pulp, and when the slave master rush to see what was going on, the battle was already over. Megatron was surprised and inspired by the larger mech fighting skills.
From there on, he taught him self how to fight and defend himself on his free time. When the time came for him to bullied again, he stand his ground and fought against them. It was six against one, but Megatron took advantage of getting the upper hand against them.

At his final battle, after all five were beaten to a bloody pulp, the last mech was surprised by his strength before going in to blind rage and ran towards Megatron. Slowly raising his pick, Megatron throw his weapon directly at the larger mech's eye, before brutally beating the crap out of him. After weeks of defending himself and others victims, the bullies stop bothering him. Megatron's reputation became well known in the mines as he was now the most feared mech in the mines.

However that doesn't stop the slave master from beating him. They get the chance of whipping him when ever they can, even if he was working. He became fearful once again of what the slave master and miner foreman are going to do to him if he stop for one second. However they always target the poor, the weak and the tired, when ever they get the chance so he wasn't much of a target to them.

One day Megatron was being beaten again for no apparent reason by one of the slave masters. As it was expected, Megatron lash at in anger and brutally beat and killed his slave master. While all of the other slave miners look up to him in awe as they witness it. It wasn't too long for the rest of the slave masters to grab him, beat him in front of everyone and took him to the torture room. Where he was whipped twelve times on his back. The pain was intense, Megatron thought he was going to pass out, but luckily he didn't and was taken to the medic.

At the end of the cycle, all of the slave miners are brought up to the surface from the mines in chains where they are greeted by the brightness of the sun. The sun always temporally blinds him, but it what he wanted to see every day of his life.

Megatron desires the sun's light, he desire freedom.
Never ever to be drag in the darkness of the mines, where the sun never shines.

One day he and the other slave miners rebelled against their cruel of slave masters. Every slave master and foremen where brutally killed by he miners. The rebellion started a mass riot in the mines lead by Megatron. Finally they climbed up to the surface where the sun shines upon them once more, never being in the dark again.

In till Megatron was captured and was sent to Kaon...
