Description
A gift painting for Jeanne at Horizon Wings. Jeanne trained this hawk to be an educational bird for another facility. Chaplin (or Chappy for short) has a lot of personality, and early in his training would 'peep' non-stop while on the glove! We figured he would probably do this during his debut educational program, but wouldn't you know it - as soon as Chappy went on stage, he went silent!Watercolor on hot-press Fabriano, 5 X 7 inches.

Wow, this is amazing! That's pretty funny that he would be quiet when he needed to be!

My kestrel would do that, non-stop on the glove, on her perches... it was something else. She mostly out-grew it going into her second season with me, which was really nice.
The RTHA I have now only peeps only when she's mad that there's no more food at the end of training/hunting.
