Description
Today is the 106th anniversary of the first deployment of the tank in World War I during the Battle of Flers-Courcelette (part of the more famous Battle of the Somme)On September 15th 1916, the Battle of Flers-Courcelette began, and with it came the first usage of Britain's Mark I tank
Some details of the image:
- The German soldier on the left has a Stahlhelm (since it was used in World War I by Imperial Germany before the Nazi's did)
- The British soldiers (from left to right) have the Lee-Enfield rifle, the Pattern 1897 infantry officers' sword, and the Colt M1911
- The German soldiers (from left to right) have the Luger pistol, and the Gewehr 98 rifle
- The Mark I tank is probably larger than it should be in my opinion
That's all I can come up for a description
