Description
Anuo, are you out there?
Can you hear my pleading, my prayers?
You came and walked with me in the dead of night
It seems so long ago
When you showed me what became of the light.
I beg of you, please return to me
In all your mystery
I seek not shelter from this current rain
Was it only yesterday
When I always thought I would remain... the same?
Hello, Anuo, let us walk under the stars.
Let the snow fall down on us, tell me of the universe of ours.
Look out, see faded light through the glow of Mars.
The life and world you spoke of, ever as far.
Guide me to the song that only we can hear
Language distant, but music ever as near.
Tell me again your story
Of your people, those called Elenari.
Tell me how you believe
Maybe, finally, I'll see...
Show me how to let go, release myself from my bonds
So my soul doesn't have to die on the earth we stand upon.
Take me flying free through the sky
Through the universe seen by my naked eye
This godless world, as it seems to be so
Let me feel like I am ready to go.

Hmm. You're not one of ours, are you? However, the poem points that whatever system you were using, it sure wasn't the good ol' Homo Sapiens....

wow. that's a pretty solid piece of poetry right there. I think sometimes the best poems are the unexpected ones-the ones that float around in your mind and you just write down what you're thinking and then you realize what you were thinking was coming so much from your heart that it was a poem all the time.
