Description We never made the bed...
never pulled the sheets tight and firm
never straightened the comforter...
the pillows still in mild disarray.
The sheet is all creased where we slept.
The indentation is still there from your shoulders.
The comforter is on the floor, the sheet crumpled into a ball.

But it\'s so quiet.
It\'s empty where your body lay the night before.
The warm sanctuary of your arms now miles away.
It\'s cold.
But your scent is still fresh.

I won\'t make the bed tonight.

I don't think that it's nearly as simple as lonelyness. this poem conveys a more realistic feel to the situation, if you ask me. it's not just a single emotion but the bittersweetness of it too. an interesting take on a universal theme. it works.

Wow... I really don't know what else to say other than wow. This poem really moved me. I think it's one of the best you've done thus far love.

Aww. That's really a sweet poem. I like the simplicity in the words. I think it gets the lonely feeling across. Good job.
