Story:
Freda, a Model Eighteen Emotional Support Droid was created within a Mass Manufacturing Plant located in the city of Seoul, South Korea. Upon her completion, she was placed amongst a fleet of other similar droids to be shipped overseas to the United States. The ESD-18 series was specifically designed to support the physically & mentally unwell, with every aspect of these droids being made to optimize comfort and assistance for buyers. Freda herself was a very cheerful individual, even for an android designed to be such. She would often try to speak with most humans she came across, eager to learn more about them and to support and help those in need.

Unfortunately for Freda, she never really got the opportunity to help anyone. While other droids of the same model were sold around her, she still remained. She was eventually pulled from the public eye after a new series of Androids were unveiled, which effectively made her obsolete. She was deactivated and put within a droid storage warehouse, where she remained for almost two decades. In the year 2017, the Storage Incursion Act was initiated by Hendrix Biomechanics; a plan to drastically free up storage space by dismantling and repurposing obsolete androids. As part of the Act, all non-hostile droids in storage were to be reactivated two months before the dismantling process began, as to loosen up their mechanical joints to lessen the chances of damaging useful materials within their bodies during their repurposing.

Freda was among the many androids that were reactivated. During this time, she was allowed to freely roam the warehouse so long as she did not attempt to leave the premises. Freda spent a majority of her time conversating (or rather attempting to conversate), with the security personnel present at the warehouse. While many disregarded her altogether, there were some who gave her the light of day. Among these few was a guard named Wyatt Valdez, who Freda grew a quick liking to after speaking with him for the first time. The pair grew fond of one another's company, and soon it became rare to see one without the other. They two often shared stories with one another and spoke of their dreams and aspirations; Freda's wish to one day enter the outside world and live her own life.

With this newfound friendship came a massive amount of guilt for Wyatt, as he was fully aware of what was to come for the stored androids. Already having conflicting feelings about the way Hendrix Biomechanics treats the androids it created, meeting Freda appeared to be his tipping point. Revealing the company's malicious intentions to Freda, the two began conducting a plan to escape the facility in secret, and on one night, the plan was sprung. As the alarms of the building rang out, both Freda and Wyatt ran into the bustling city, evading the waves security personnel chasing after them. Eventually, after a long night of running and hiding, they managed to escape with their lives.

Now free from the cruel confines of the Hendrix Corporation, Freda has been able to turn her dream of living amongst humans into a reality.
