Very nice macro. Although the blur field is essentialy in the background, I prefer when part of the foreground is also blurred, gives a better concentration effect.
Also, awesome focal length

But with your preference, the compositions are much restricted.
To get the effect you prefer, I need much small shells.
I shot with opened F aperture, so, with this composition and the size of the shell and the lens, the foreground cannot be blurred.
They depend on the compositions, size of the objects, focul length of the lenses, and F apertures

Or maybe you could have gone for wider depth-of-field, possibly? (But not too much, so as not to lose that intense concentration effect)
do you have a fixed focal length on your lens? I'm not yet very well accustomed to macro...

I might be wrong, but from watching your page for a while now, I think this is different from the rest of your gallery. I like it very much with all of the bright colors and seashells.
