How I do feel IN EVERY MOMENT, particularly in that nice one when I'm about to fall asleep... perhaps that's really a common situation to everyone ahahah, those colors are just the ones I see behind my eyes when my brain goes mad. Great, evocative piece

I HAVE THAT PROBLEM EVERY SINGLE NIGHT!!!! Apparently my brain seems to think that nighttime is the best time for developing my stories lolol. Sometimes I actually find myself whispering out loud to myself to try to get all these ideas out of my head but it never works lolol. I'm usually awake for an hour after I turn out the lights until I FINALLY fall asleep and have crazy weird dreams that sometimes give me new ideas to develop the next night lol derp.
This may be somewhat due to the fact that five days out of the week, since I'm homeschooled, I don't develop stories until the evening, because if I do during school hours, it'll affect my brain's focus on what I'm doing. I used to draw on my math papers and I got a lot more wrong than I do now, not drawing on my papers anymore And on the two days I CAN develop all day, I'm usually so busy reading and drawing that I don't leave much time to write lol.
And a question for anyone who sees this: What are your favorite mediums - types of paper, drawing/writing materials? I prefer to get the 24-pound reams for drawing on because that paper's thicker, and I love notebook paper, also called filler paper, for writing...that way I don't go all over the place lol...I pencils...and I use pens for writing, mostly BIC pens because I love them, but occasionally some of my other ones.
Wow, this is my second long comment for this entire day! LOLOL. Well bai.

That's nice! And I really like the colours. If bg is warm, main image should be cold, and reverse. That's what I've read in a really old kid book for beginner artists. I used to think it was pretty stupid, but your work is the example that it's not. Congrats!

I like the concept and the composition and colors work great .
I checked your gallery and was struck by your comments on 'Right-Brained' . I think this relates - more common for people to be kept awake with worry than wonderment and your are lucky to have that gift . When you ( the global you I guess - for artists in general) can see these things and express them in a way the rest of can 'see' that is the real magic . To be able to use this power to convey emotions and the unseen is the peak .

wow... i never even thought of that. this does go along with right-brained.
concerning the fact that i have difficulty expressing myself any other way, i'm SO glad that you can 'see what i mean'. i guess i should do more pieces like this. thank you so much.

This is pretty much imagination all right.
Well, imagination in brainstorming mode, at a round table discussion perhaps.
Now I want to see you do this, but with someone who's trying to fall asleep and can't stop thinking of random awesome things.
Blessed be the contrast, those complementaries make the figure's shades and tints that much more themselves!

One time, when I had it really bad at one in the morning, I spontaneously decided to go for a walk and a swim (it was summer, and I live in Southern California, so it was still pretty warm out).

that doesn't work... you can't concentrate on anything at all, you hafta gradually just stop thinking, period. if you think about not thinking it gets very frustrating
