Not bad, considering that I only had one episode to go off of…
This is part of the fad ~nillia started to fight OOC in fanfiction. It actually started in the Inuyasha fandom, but it spilled over into others (Go here to see them all) Including Danny Phantom. I fell in love with the idea when I saw it, so I had to so something, even though sacrifices had to be made (Sleep? Who needs sleep? Sleep is for the losers who don’t have slave drivers for muses…) Also, there are a few panels I want to explain…
Panel 3;
I got the impression that she’s one serious practical joker. Also, I picked Paulina as her victim since I can’t see those two getting along that well. They both like being the center of attention, especially when the attention is Danny’s (Well, Danny Phantom, anyways.) so those two are probably gonna butt heads before long.Panel 4; How about a little show of faith out there? I mean, sure she’s just a kid, but she struck me as being fairly competent. Just because Vlad tricked her doesn’t make her stupid. Vlad tricks everybody, in case you haven’t noticed.
Panel 5; I know what Dani has been through is really sad and all, but did it LOOK like she was flying off to find a nice quiet place to cry at the end of Kindred Spirits?!
Panel 6; Okay, maybe this one’s a little overdone, but you have to understand that both Dani and Vlad would both have to be seriously OOC to make peace with one another again.
Panel 7; WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?!
Panel 8; I know she’s not as strong as Danny is, but I also think she’s too hardheaded to ever acknowledge that. At least out loud, at any rate…

EDIT! I changed the pictures. It was driving me insane since it was my most faved deviation, and I absolutely hated it because it was ugly and awkward and the characters didn't look right. XP

I'm confused on what a Mary Sue is. I have an OC yes she is half ghost and she does date Danny but she also has flaws. And I mean I could go on all day about her flaws. I understand the basic meaning but are all Mary Sue's perfect?

Well, yes and no. Most Mary Sues are original characters that are so strong/pretty/awesome that they end up having the opposite effect the writer was going for and annoying the readers to death, rather then endearing them to the characters. And yes, sometimes the characters do have a tragic past or some sort of trama that they've overcome which are generally viewed as flaws, but aren't in the same sense that other flaws are. And even if an OC isn't like this, if it falls too closely to the other traits that Sues share, the readers generally cry Sue and lose interest fast. If you are concerned that your character is a sue, then I suggest taking this test and seeing how it turns out. It works pretty well for me in determining if a character is well-rounded; [link]

I love this.It's all true.Everybody thinks that Dani is like a Mary-Sue.Or a female version of Danny.Which she is,but they think she's like really Danny as a Female!Not another person!I am happy that you drew this!

I like that panel "Dani is NOT weak...." because I read a Secret Show fanfic called "Sneaky Agent" where someone replaced Special Agent Ray while he was on vacation and he was coming off as very sketchy. That person was very familiar. I would tell you who he was, but for those who haven't read the fanfic, I won't, because it doesn't seem right to spoil the whole story for everyone. Then I read the reviews and in one of those reviews, my good friend ~CitrusSkies wrote that the author had made Anita a damsel-in-distress. I'll remember that, because it is a good point. In the scene where this bit of OOC-ness is shown, it's guaranteed to piss you off a bit. I'm thinking, "What happened to the powerful and fiercesome Anita? One minute, she's gonna kick some ass, and then all of a sudden, she has her hand behind her back and she's like, 'Oh, save me, save me, he's too strong.'" Another thing, this wasn't the first time Anita was presented as OOC. In the fanfic "Life's Little Joy", Anita is presented as being a dumb-blonde, which a) is an insult stereotype to blondes everywhere and b) is completely ridiculous because Anita is not retarded AT ALL. The author also makes her OOC, where she has no fuckin' clue what pregnancy is (hell, she doesn't know what a contraction is). As much as I would love to go on and on about how the author is anemic to characterization and character development, I'm afraid I'll have to stop here instead.
This is the best deviation to rant about OOC in fanfiction ever.

Man, this is a coincidence. By the way I hate that fanfiction. Literally that author agentmatt made me want to cry. Mainly because he created the worst OOC fanfiction of the TSS fandom. Nobody will ever be able to top those in my heart.
All the characterizations tick me off. Let's just keep it at that. If I don't it'll be a long rant directed at said author. But yeah it's a nice comparison. Dani is not a weak character by far. It pains me to know actual people like the idea of making strong female characters weak.
Yeah, just like that author did to Anita Knight. Alphonse was only a sadistic bastard just because the author needed an excuse. To write Anita as a defenseless needing to be protected woman just so Victor could be the hero story.
I'm not falling for that BS.

thanks. ^^ I think Dani has a lot of potential as a very interesting character, if handled right. After all, unlike Vlad, who got his powers in college, and Danny, who got his in high school, Dani is a child who had hers since she was created which, when combined with her naivity and eagerness to please, could become a very fun concept to play with.
