Wow, this is defenitly one of the coolest things I've seen in a while.
I get a feeling of despire from looking at it, but it's also coupled witha feeling of hope. I think the hope I feel is drawn from the eyes. Obviously the eyes are an important part of this piece and they have the ability to symbolize so much, it's amazing.

In all seriousness, that's some amazing work. Spooky, and at the same time, grotesquely cute. The faces almost have a more inquisitive, rather than malicious look to them. Very cool all around.

interesting that you used software to generate this image it really looks like oil paint. rather over-rated I think... could be redeemed if you made it into a series of images- that I would like to see.

This really comes across verry Miyazaki-like... these guys remind me of some of the spirits in Spirited Away or the God Soldiers from Nausicaa. The simplicity is excellent, nice use of the muted colors, and I really like the oil-painting feel of the thing. Congrats!
