There was nothing like a good rifle shooting to clear his head. Alex shuffled uncomfortably as he loaded the rifle, and slid the mechanism into place. Not because he was uncomfortable with weapons - Gods no, he'd grown up in Texas where people carried AR's to Target to make a point. But because of other...thoughts. Thoughts of who Alex was, who he wanted to be. And that gnawed at his insides. But no time for that. He had to FOCUS. He was here to work on getting registered for the event, not to bemoan his life. So he sighted down the barrel, and squeezed the trigger.
BLAM!
The target had one more hole in its center. Of course, he was well-trained as a marksman, but since moving to Canada he hadn't picked up a gun, let alone a rifle. So it was always good to practice.
Now, if only he could forget everything else...
