Description
As you and your party make your way through the darkest part of the forest, you can tell from the cooling of the air and the humming of night insects that it's the gloaming, time, and night is near. Luminous plants cast their light into the shadows, and foxfire and glowing insects call to life a hundred constellations against the forest's gloom. You come upon a place where the trees thin and the ground is rockier. A sharp-eyed party member spies a cavern opening, wide enough for the group and supplies to comfortably traverse. Is this a place to pass the night safely? Or will the monstrous fauna the forest is known for pose a threat to the party? And are their scarier things in the dark placers of the forest than carnivorous plants?
