So this is how it all ends.I was afraid how this would go,
but there's no way to make amends.
I'm sorry, we can't stay friends.
I'd like to, but have to say no
so this is how it all ends.
I know saying it like this offends
and it does bother me, you know.
But there's no way to make amends.
Things may change, it depends
on how time leads us both to grow.
So this is how it all ends.
But you know how life tends
to raise us up and lay us low
but there's no way to make amends.
And though my memory defends
the happy times not long ago
there's still no way to make amends,
so this is how it all ends.
