Hello and Welcome to My List of Characters Who Just Don't Appeal To Me Like Everyone Else...gotta figure out how to shorten that down. XD Might have to think up an Acronym. lol
Anyways, let's get started. Also Keep in mind that while these characters and what not may not Appeal to me like everyone else, I don't Hate them either, well some of them. You'll know who when I get to them.
CWJDATMLEE: (Hey Found an Acronym. XD)
The Batman:
Okay so as many of you probably know, my views on The Batman have varied from minor dislike to outright Hatred. Mostly due to the Overhype, Fanbrats, A lot of his Comics and just something about him that makes me both like and hate him at the same time. When it comes to DC Comics, The Batman is not in my Top 10 list of DC's Superheroes, nor is he even in my Top 100 Superheroes of all time. Just something about Bruce Wayne has always rubbed me the wrong way. I liked him a lot as a kid but that was just due to the fact he was pretty much the only superhero on TV at the time. XD Never saw the Animated Series til I was a lot older but the one Batman cartoon I Loved was Batman Beyond. Guess you could say I consider Terry Mcginnis to be the true Batman. But my hate of The Batman has gone down some...at least until some fanbrat or some overhyped comic or movie or game comes out and makes me wanna rip out his guts. XD
Spider-Man:
Now I know some of you may find this surprising, hell I'm kinda surprised too since Spider-Man used to be a childhood favorite of mine back in the day. I still like the Webhead and he's in my Top 20 Marvel Heroes list but in general, he's not all that great to me anymore. Guess you could say it's because he's well...Annoying. Everything about him now is just way to annoying. Not really his Character but more or less his stories, I mean come on, Marvel had something good going when they finally had Parker have his own Company and now from what I've heard he's back working for JJ...really Parker? Oi vey. Not to mention he seems to keep making the same old mistakes over and over again. Recently he's just come off as an Overhyped superhero and I've had a few run ins with some of his fanboys and sheesh, not fun. Although their far more polite than the Batfans I've run across over the time I've been on DA. But only by a little bit. Don't get me wrong, I don't Hate Spider-Man, I just don't care for him as much as I used to. Venom kinda took his spot if I'm being honest. XD
The X-Men:
Again, like Spidey, I Don't Hate The X-Men. I just find a lot of their hype and fans to be...a bit out there. A lot of the movies haven't done much to help with that either given their track record. I just don't find the X-Men to be all their cracked up to be. I like a lot of them. (Minus Cyclops, Never liked him at all.) but I just don't find them to be the great superhero team everyone makes them out to be.
Naruto Uzumaki:
Again, I like Naruto, he's cool. But like many on this list, you'll find a lot of them were ruined by their Sheer Hype, Over the Top Fans and just general God Status granted to them by their fans. Naruto falls into theΒ Latter. When I was younger I used to read a Lot of Naruto fanfiction. Looking back on it I can't believe I wasted my time on half of them. Over the top God Hood Naruto. Not to mention every single crossover involving this hyper active ninja, involved him getting a Super Massiv Harem, Becoming a God in That Universe and Just overall being...OP as Fuck. I still like the guy but thanks to a lot of those fanfics he's not as cool as I used to think he was. He's just lost that appeal. Mostly in part due to those fanfics and not really anything else. Why did I read them? I was young, dumb and didn't know better. XD
The Loud House:
Sooo I've never Watched this show but from a LOT of the stuff I've seen on it...I think I'm better off Not watching it. Granted I saw like 1 episode and it's and no offense to any fans of this show who like it, these are just my opinions. Loud House, much like every cartoon nowadays is...full of propaganda aimed at kids, it's not as entertaining as it's made out to be and the characters are...ungodly annoying. To Me anyway. Call me old fashioned by most Cartoons nowadays suck. XD They lack the fun old ones used to have, sure the shows back then didn't give out as many messages about stuff that modern day ones do but that's cause they were cartoons. Kids watched them to have fun and forget about the world around them. Not be reminded of the BS they have to face everyday. Not saying that the messages they have now in cartoons is bad, just saying it kills the appeal. Might be because I'm an adult and I can spot the Propaganda a mile away though. XD
Steven Universe:
Used to like this show at first, now though...ugh. It's SJW central basically. Not saying everyone whose a fan of the show is an SJW, just saying a GOOD CHUNK are. XD Had a run in once or twice with such fans and boy...fandoms nowadays are Not friendly. Especially when it comes to Cartoons nowadays. Guess cause it's mostly 12 year olds who don't know better. But I just don't like the show anymore, it was cool at first and now the hype around it is dead and if I'm being honest. The show should be too. The characters are annoying as hell, the story is convoluted, Steven is supposed to be this powerful superhero type character and yet keeps being pushed off to the side to let a bunch of fused dyke lesbian gems to do all the fighting. XD Nothing against such Lesbians but come on, let the kid be the center of attention when it comes to the fights and not be used to try and confuse kids with some sort of SJW Propaganda.
Kylo Ren:
This guy...oi. Emo much? Sure he's cool, got a fancy lightsaber and is a big bad but in all honesty. Hype Killed the appeal of this character to me. He's alright, just not a Star Wars character I can get behind. Not to mention I find the idea of him and Rey being together to be kinda creepy, even if their not related. XP
Punisher & Deadpool:
Okay so...it's kinda complicated with these two so let's start with the Less complicated.
Punisher.
Cool character, I like the fact he pretty much slaughters criminals and such. However he is...grossly overhyped by his fans and his appeal to me was killed even further by the comic Punisher Kills The Marvel Universe.
I'm someone who does NOT Take Kindly to stories involving the death of one or more of my favorite heroes. That comic, even though it was an AU story and a horribly written and thought one up at that. Is pretty much responsable for my dislike of Punisher. It Killed any chance of me really getting into his character and I like badass characters like Punisher. I just don't find him appealing cause that particular comic, created specifically for Punisher fanboys. Ruined it. So thank the idiots who thought the idea of specific characters killing the characters of the Marvel Universe for That.
Which Brings me to Deadpool.
God, I used to love Deadpool when I was younger. But now...I wish I never heard of him. I Don't hate him per se. I just really really really really really regret getting into his character as much as I did when I was younger.
Course I didn't know any better at the time.
What am I talking about you ask?
How many of you have played and or heard of a particular marvel game called. Marvel: Ultimate Alliance.
Loved the shit out of that game and because of it, characters like Captain America became my new favorites.
Deadpool was one of them as it was my introduction to his character. It was fun for awhile but then I found myself immitating him a little to much and low and behold!
Hello!
He's stuck in my head and I can't rid of him. -_- Trust me, you live with this guy in your head for 12 years, you'd hate his guts too after awhile.
Aww come on Wolfy, ya know ya still love me. Who was it that got you through Puberty.
Don't...Remind Me.
Okay fine that was an awkward time for me too okay. Not my fault.
It was entirely your fault.
Okay fine you got me there.
Not to mention the hype around you is absolutely over the top. I mean come on! YOUR EVERYWHERE!
I know right! It's Awesome!
Depends on who you ask. -_-
Come on Wolfy, maybe if we talk it out, we can find out why it is you hate me so much.
Oh that's a long list Wade, I doubt my watchers wanna be here THAT long.
How bad could it be?
(Takes out a small scroll and opens it only for it to roll and roll and roll and roll until it goes out the door and down the street and still keep going.
(Gulp.)
You asked. So how about we move on before I strangle you with your own intestines eh.
Great Idea!
Damian Wayne:
The fact he exists is why he doesn't appeal to me.
Yamcha:
Honestly...I could careless about Yamcha and I only put him here cause I needed to fill in the space. XD I don't hate him nor like him. He's just not that great to me, even in his DB days he's just not a character I can bring myself to like.
---
So final verdict. Alot of these characters were made unappealing to me due to Overhype, Fanbrats, Over the Top Fanservice and just my general dislike of the character.
Anyways Fave/Comment and Have An Awesome Day Everyone.

Indeed. I understand the characters I write quite well and I have very complex character arcs in mind for all them.Β

Hell, the arcs I'm planning out right now (in Super Smash Bros. Crossover, at least) are more action-packed adventures that are also emotionally charged stories with complex and mature themes added into the mix, such as Captain Universe (Tamara Devoux) becoming suicidal due to XANA's actions turning many of her allies against her (Naruto and Universe 12 Sonic are the only ones who still trust Tamara completely); Piccolo, Tien, Universe 7 Namor, and Universe 10 Wasp suffering from PTSD and nightmares due to the events of the Final Distortion; Universe 7 Pit learning that he is going to die soon from Sasuke Uchiha and having to deal with that shadow hanging over his head; the list goes on.

1: Personally I've always found Batman rather overrated. But I tend to enjoy the more light-hearted portrayals a lot more over the grim dark angst ridden stuff. Like the Adam West Series for example.
Course, I am a bit bitter about The Dark Knight stealing all the attention away from Iron Man 1. One of my favourite Superhero films.
2: The problem I find with Spider-Man, is that a lot of writers tend to mishandle the character. And there are times where his quips can come across as quite forced and annoying.
Another problem with comic book superheroes, is that due to them being a continuous series, they aren't often allowed to evolve or get on. And have to inevitably return to a status quo.
Plus he has become rather overexposed in the media these days I feel.
3: X-men are favourites of mine, but I am frankly sick of the whole Jean/Scott/Logan thing. And the Phoenix stuff.
4: Never cared for the show, so I can't comment much. Always found it to be a rather run-of-the-mill drawn out Shonen anime.
5: Never even heard of it. But then again, I don't watch cartoon channels.
6: Tried to watch it, but the appeal is frankly lost on me. Didn't like the characters, didn't like the art style, didn't like the writing,. And I find that people make too much of a song and dance about the LGBT content.
7: Eh, to put it bluntly. Kylo Ren for me was a forgettable Vader fanboy/wanabee with a gimmicky lightsaber. Then again I find all the sequel trilogy's antagonists lacklustre.
Plus, I can't stop being reminded of a character from the old Droids cartoon who has almost the exact same name by one letter.
8: Alright. Don't love 'em or hate 'em. Pretty much one-trick ponies for me.
9: Nope, never heard of him either.
10: As far as I can see, the only reason the character receives any attention at all, is down to his 'butt-monkey' status.

I agree with you on 6, because I wasn't interested in Steven Universe until Jail Break came on, which gave it almost a sense that the series was going somewhere, but it was all a lie.

Yeugh. I find it rather tragically coincidental that you put Loud House on this list considering how a few days ago I blew my top off about how a good chunk of its fans make me feel like shit.

Well your not the only one hating on Kylo. My sister went through an emo phase where she was crazy about him, but thankfully that didn't last to the second movie. Honestly I stopped reading both Marvel and DC comics a long time ago, right around the "Avengers vs Xmen" arc, so I'm still used to the Spider-Man and Batman of my childhood. Cant say I'm likely to go back since you introduced me to the whole "Cap is a hydra agent" storyline (Really Marvel?) I will say that I'm not a fan of you hating on Deadpool. I mean cmon, he's freaking Deadpool.

I agree/ kinda not agree with Spider-Man in your statement. The part that I agree is Marvel for some reason loves to treat him , the hulk and wolverine like crap with the same stories over and over again. Like for Peter I hate the fact they have to make him screw up and whenever things go good for Peter, Marvel brings him down again. They need to make his character grow and develop. Give him the life he deserves, make thing go positive for him. The main reason marvel does this is because Spider-Man fanboysΒ got used the idea of him suffering. Plus they cast him aside all time to replace him with the avengers. I don't hate the avengers but they are not that appealing either in my opinion. Marvel overhypes them ever since the first avengers movie came out. They are like any other superhero team,Β I just like them. I part that kinda disagree with you is not all of Spider-Man stories are bad. Infact there's Spider-Man knew your vows where he had a daughter with mary jane and became a superhero's family team. Or the time where Spider-Man, Ironman, the Hulk and Wolverine became the new fantastic 4. Not every superhero perfect they all have their flaws. Some may like it some not.

I know and as for that last part it was Spiderman, Ghost Rider, Hulk & Wolverine who became the New F4, Iron Man as far as I remember was never apart of that group. Infact Spider-Man and Iron Man hate each other in the comics.

I can pretty much agree with all of these, except for Spider-Man and Naruto. Although, I would agree with the fact that Naruto is possible the most Overrated character ever. And, after hearing your argument, then yeah, I can see why he's on this list. XD
Just like you, Spider-Man was my all time favorite Marvel Superhero as a kid. But, as I've grown up, Spider's gone from number 1, to about number 4. Right behind, Venom, Hawkeye (The MCU version, NOT the Avengers Assemble or Earth's Mightest Heroes version) and Captain America coming up to number 1. I don't think Spidey's that annoying, "not nearly as annoying as Deadpool", but I can see where you mentioned him making the same mistakes time and time again. But, he's still a bit of an inspiration to a lot of people.

Oh trust me, he is. XD Some of those fanfics now that I think back on them. I regret ever reading them. There's this one fanfic writer whose name I've forgotten but he has a talent for writing I will say that and I have nothing against him nor his written works. But his stories are all Naruto crossovers and I swear to god, He makes Naruto so fucking op that it's not even funny. There's this one crossover with Dragon Ball Z he wrote and Naruto is somehow an Android, a Human AND a Saiyan. Somehow he was stronger than Cell at the time too. XD I don't mind stories where Naruto gains Saiyan powers, but when it involves him becoming as strong if not stronger than Goku right off the bat, it's stupid. XD Not to mention in most of those crossover stories he always get's a super massive harem, the excuse being the ladies fell for him cause of his good looks and his horrible past. When compared to some of the ladies he ends up with, his isn't that bad or all that impressive. Depending on the story and how it's written, he becomes stronger than that universe's strongest character. -_- Oi vey.
Oh very true and nice to see we both like the same Hawkeye. XD Never cared much for him til the MCU, same with the Black Widow honestly. lol
Yeah no doubt Spidey's an inspiration and that's not a bad thing. Just the hype around him could be toned down and the fact he repeats his mistakes should really be stopped.

Okay, now I'm starting to see your point on Naruto. But, at least there are some fanfics that I believe do him justice. Unfortunately or fortunately for you, the ones that I think do him justice are all either NaruHina or NaruSaku fanfics. Other wise, I can agree with you Naruto now. Cause I have read fanfics both here and on YouTube that make Naruto way too OP.
Oh yeah believe me, Hawkeye in both Avengers Assemble and Earth's Mightest Heroes is so annoying, that he makes Spider-Man look like a Professional Comedian. At least the MCU didn't do to Hawkeye and Black Widow what Iron Man's Armored Adventures did.
I can at least agree with that. I can also agree that Spider-Man was s bit cooler when he got older and started his own company, but to me, I kinda lost interest in him after that happened. It kinda made Spider-Man less relatable and made him more like Tony Stark.

WOLFBLADE111 In reply to PrimusOmega96 [2018-04-28 14:19:57 +0000 UTC]
That's very true and I like those kinds of stories. I've basically given up on reading Naruto Crossover stories, since most of them are all the same. XD
Here's something for an OP Naruto, way back during the whole Avengers vs X-Men storyline, this one fanfic writer I came across had posted this idea he had for a NarutoxMarvel crossover and it involved Hope Summers (Not sure if your familiar with her or not.) being teleported to Naruto's world, and if I recall. He said that Naruto's characters were stronger than Marvel's...wha? XD I don't think even the strongest character in Naruto would even be considered a Cosmic Level Threat, maybe a Hulk level but not that high and I can tell ya this much, a lot of what the Naruto Characters can do, the Marvel heroes have been doing since before Naruto was even an idea. XD
Agreed. Never could bring myself to like the guy in those shows. The fact they gave him a family in the MCU also I find to be a nice step for the character and makes him seem a lot cooler, being a dad and a super spy. Hell make a movie about him being a father and a spy and I'd watch it. XD
True, course it was a nice change from the Daily Bugle, hell if Parker had just made bets on how often he'd get fired and rehired by JJ, he'd be richer than Tony at this point. XD

Agreed. I can understand if people want to take inspiration from other shows or stories to make a Naruto Fanfic, then fine. If you want to make a Naruto Crossover fanfic, go ahead. But at least make it accurate. Don't make him OP! Don't make him irresistible to women! Don't give him a harem! And fir god's sake, DON'T SHIP HIM WITH SAUSKE!!! That's just wrong. Believe me, I have nothing against homosexuals, hell I had a best friend that bisexual, but I doesn't mean I like to see Naruto and Sasuke kissing each other. Hell, I didn't like it when they did it the first time in the anime, AND THAT WAS AN ACCIDENT!!
Yeah. If they ever made a Hawkeye movie, I'd go see it. I may wait for it to come out on DVD, but I'd still see it.
... You got a point there. XDDD
