Most of her character is based off her origin episode from the Spider-Man And His Amazing Friends episode.

For those who don't know: Angelica Jones is a muntant who has the ability of pyrokinesis and flight. She lose her mother at the young age and she lives with her kind father, Bart in a poor household, which made her the subject to constant bullying by the spoiled Sally Avril, who called her "Miss Angelica Jinx" due mainly to events mysteriously happening because of her powers. She rescued her father from an accident at the construction site while disguised and she decided to use her powers to help people and save lives. When Angelica entered Midtown High School, Sally and Sha Shan framed her for the the theft of a trophy, causing the principal to temporarily suspend her from school. After she had a chat with her father, Angelica decided to set things right by becoming Firestar and she found proof of Sally's deception, retrieved the missing trophy and compelled Sally to confess, which justified their expulsion from school.
