I would usually hate how half of this is one sentence but in this poem your thoughts really come out and it just adds to the effect that you love this person so much but there are so many reasons why u cant be with em, thats my take on it at least, really great work!

The only thing i find odd is "I love you
but love is for birds."

an over-abundance of repetitions only work in poetry when they serve a sense of functionality, and such is the case here. although basically half of your poem is the line "I love you", i don't see it as annoying, for it purposely stresses the constant, unwavering quality of affection of the speaker towards another. the repetition also leads to a critical ending, wherein "I love your" dramatically shifts to "You love me" - at a time when it's all too late.

i love this poem.
it's simple, sincere, and PERFECTLY reflects an experience i had with someone i loved.
