Hey, Vectorinos, it’s time for a little trip to the Great White North. To be honest, Skippy the Undead Intern got really excited about Canada while researching Wolverine online, so now we gotta do THIS. So let’s dig into the predominant Canuck superhero team: ALPHA FLIGHT!⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

Madison Jefferies was a blue collar guy and a veteran. But as he found out, also a powerful mutant with the making of a real hero. ⁣

Jeffries is a technopath, able to control machines and reshape them into new systems at will. After meeting an engineering genius named Roger Bachs, the two teamed up to build Roger's dream: a robot named (checks notes) Box. Yep. "Box." Moving on...⁣

After the two were recruited by Department H, Bachs and his "Box" quickly moved up to Beta Flight, with Jefferies being in Gamma Flight. After Dept H was defunded, the two went off on their own, with Jefferies going back to menial labor. But after James Husdon was killed by Omega Flight, Madison, who admired Hudson, got back in the game, pretty much single-handedly finding justice for his fallen friend. From diggin' ditches to causin' stitches.⁣

Re-joining Alpha Flight in a support capacity at first, Jefferies maintained the team's tech and machinery. But after Bachs died during a battle with Madison's insane brother Lionel (who they legit called Scramble the Mixed Up Man, because comics are bonkers), Madison adapted the Box robot with his own powers, becoming a new, shape-changing version of the hero. But he was still named "Box," so ya know....only so creative.⁣

Madison has romantic relationships with both Diamond Lil and Heather Hudson (while James was tought dead) and nearly married Heather. But James turned out to be alive, so he married Lil instead. Still pretty good for a blue collar dude.⁣
