Dr. Ashley Kafka was a brilliant clinical psychologist who entered the field after a lifetime of helping to care for her mentally disturbed little sister, Norma. After both her mother and sister passed away, she became deeply dedicated to her studies, eventually honing her skills to become a gifted specialist in the treatment of super-criminals. Now you know why she’s in comic books. She’s a supervillain shrink.
Because of her amazing success with supervillains, Dr. Kafka was hired by the Government to run the Ravencroft Institute, an asylum that had begun to specialize in the psychological treatment of criminally insane superfolks. A great hire, narrowly avoiding her being recruited by the DC Universe to run Arkham Asylum. Probably.
Kafka successfully treated the mutated orderly, Vermin, as well and a host of other supervillains like Electro, Chameleon, The Vultre, and many others to varying degrees of success (or failure depending on how you look at it, considering most bad guys revert to type and fight Spider-Man).
Speaking of failure, we here at Vector Vengers tried really hard to fit a Frasier joke into this bio, but failed. We deeply apologize and will do better in the future.
