Here's an animated blinking version ofI wish we could upload bigger gifs, but you get the general idea. So, Merry Christmas to all!
UPDATE: Here is a bigger version of the blinking tree. Hope it looks OK. Thanks, Lea, for that marvelous demonstration!

Tree made in Apophysis 7X.Final and postwork (stars, lightstrings, signature) done in Photoshop CS and animation done in Image Ready.

We had a huge blizzard up here that dumped like 20 inches of snow on us. The very last thing I did before the internet went out was send you that file.
My internet connection has been out ever since then and just came back this very second.

so could you animate fractals in image ready? and how easy is it to use?

Yes, you can animate in Image Ready. It's fairly easy to do. I usually create all my layers in Photoshop and then jump to Image Ready to actually do the animation frames and then save as a .gif. If you save as a gif from Photoshop, you only get a single image. When you save out of Image Ready, you get the animated gif.

No, it's not freeware. It's part of Adobe Creative Suite. I have an fairly early version of the full Suite. But, I think you can do some basic animation in GIMP and that's totally free.
