**Sometimes it is obvious. And that's no less legitimate.

because of my grades and my mom is giving me counseling and then we'll see where it goes from there.
i wld be blunt w/ him but when the subject comes up, he clams up and puts his ear-buds in. he makes it even more awkward from b4

I have to say this is an amazing way to get a point across without using the actual violence to show it. I would love to see something like this on billboards to show awareness!

I already saw a person like that, she had cuts everywhere on her arms. We were atleast 20 to tell her to stop doing that.

Wow, this really startled me when I first looked at it. I used to cut in the exact same places. I really like this picture, mainly because you captured the idea of self-harm without even showing flesh or blood. Really creative.

This reminds me of me! and self-harm isnt always obvious because if you cut your lets arms and that general area no one will see it really unless your swimming with a bikini or something you know? This topic needs more attention and not people just saying that its just for attention!

Beautiful picture, and a great way to raise awareness.
It especially reminds me of all the people out there who never get help, because no one thinks that they would cut themself.
Thank you.

yeah, just remember to be supportive and loving and encouraging rather than trying to give advice to people like that, it never helps unless they ask for it

I find advice helpful.

Chipperdog In reply to wonderbandalice [2012-02-28 22:39:29 +0000 UTC]

i dont mean it should never be given, just that most of the time people are wanting support more than advice unless they say they want advice or have valued your advice in the past
