Sorami Akamatsu (Japanese: 赤松宙見 / アカマツ・ソラミ / Akamatsu Sorami) is a distant ancestor of Reuben Krueger from Hisui. She’s a member of the Pearl Clan and tends to be very spacy; that is, she always goes at her own pace and does her own thing, usually deeply lost in thought. She’s also very existential, often pondering the existence of humans and Pokémon.

Although a valued member of the Pearl Clan, she’s a bit of an outcast. She has no friends in the clan to call her own, as no one has ever been able to tolerate her bizarre, spaced-out nature long enough to get to know her.

Sorami suffers from chronic anemia. She suffers from constant fatigue and quickly tires out, with notably pale skin. She frequently faints and passes out whenever she becomes overstimulated.

She has two patches of Hisuian Pokémon on her uniform; one of a Hisuian Sneasel and another of a Hisuian Qwilfish, both on the left side of her body. She also has a patch of a Sand Radish on her lower right leg.

The kanji for her given name loosely translates into “to see infinite space, time.” In other kanji, it can also mean “beautiful sky.” Her surname translates into “red pine.”

He is bisexual.

Bergmite is slow and curious. A very young Pokémon who was hatched from an abandoned egg Sorami found, she sticks close to Sorami at all times, seeing her as her mother. She has a tendency to trip over her own feet and scuttles about at a slow pace, so Sorami often carries her around in her arms, unfazed by the intense coldness of the Pokémon. She has a Docile nature, and her ability is Own Tempo.

Avalugg is motherly and gentle. She acts as a mom to the group of Pokémon the Sorami has befriended, watching over them. Although gentle and unaggressive, she will put herself out into harm’s way in order to keep everyone safe. She has a Brave nature, and her ability is Strong Jaw.

Sneasel is aloof and a lone wolf. He keeps himself at arm’s length from everyone else, despite still always hanging out around them. As much as he refuses to admit it, he cares for the rest of the group and wouldn’t want to be without them. He has a Quiet nature, and his ability is Keen Eye.

Snover is friendly and affectionate. She’s Bergmite’s best friend aside from Sorami and loves everyone. She has a habit of hugging everyone around her when she gets really excited. She has an Impish nature, and her ability is Snow Warning.

Glalie is amicable and klutzy. He’s always looking down, because all his friends are on the ground. This often leads to him not looking where he’s going and bumping into things. While a bit of a goof, he’s got a very friendly heart and is a friend to all. He has a Docile nature, and his ability is Ice Body.

Kirlia is graceful and self-absorbed. He loves more than anything to have all eyes on him. He loves to dance and will often dance around just to get everyone to focus on him. He also absolutely hates getting dirty. Although a narcissistic, he still cares about his friends and will act when danger is afoot. He has an Adamant nature, and his ability is Telepathy.

Chimecho is kind and bright-eyed. A mute Chimecho, he cannot make the iconic echoing cries that other Chimecho are known for. Despite this, he never lets it get him down, always swaying about in a good mood. He has a Modest nature, and his ability is Levitate.

Piloswine is giddy and lovestruck. She’s an absolute fangirl for Sneasel. Completely lovestricken, she’s always fawning over him and often cuddles up beside him whenever given the chance. It always annoys him, but he never seems to pull away when it happens. She has a Jolly nature, and her ability is Oblivious.
