This is sort of an AU I guess idk if I’ll do much with it tho(This is sort of inspired by an au on tumblr by jigokuhana )
Plz keep in mind I’m not good at writing
So it starts sort of where the last episode left off (change your mind) a few days after Steven wakes up and starts his morning routine only to notice his eye color in one eye is a little lighter than usual but he just shrugs it off to be the lighting
After he’s done getting ready for the day he goes out onto the beach garnet and peridot are talking to three Ruby’s and blue pearl
(Blue diamonds pearl) tho the Ruby’s aren’t really paying attention and one of them seems to be drawing a large diamond shape in the sand trying to explain something to the other 2
Garnet: “and this will tell Steven what he needs to do as a leader on homeworld”
Blue pearl:yes and he should be able to stay on earth most of the time but he will need to visit homeworld for important occasions.

Peridot: -“i will be in charge of demonstrating how it is operated!!”...
She snatches it out of blue pearls hand
...
And fiddles with it for a few seconds looking more and more confused
...
P:”um. Is this a new model???.”
Steven:”oh!! I know what that is! When I was on homeworld ... er- the 1st time 2 gems -ahhh what where they called???
Steven looks to blue pearl
Blue pearl:”zircons”
Steven: “yes them. they had one one these it’s sort of like a laptop or a tablet with floating screens - here”
Steven puts the glass up to peridots left eye
Peridot: “hay what are you doing -ohhhh”
The glass scans her gem and a bunch of charts and writing Steven couldn’t understand popped up on 3 floating green screens
Peridot:!!! “Oh my screens my logs oh how I’ve missed you” 💕
Garnet: “yes peridot but that’s Stevens toy”
Blue pearl: “what is a toy”???
Garnet: “why does he need this again”
Blue pearl:”as a leader of homeworld he needs to be able to command his cort and as his pearl said he probably won’t want to leave earth to often a- “
Steven: -wait pearl isn’t mine she’s her own gem!”
“But I see what your getting at I need to be a leader”
Garnet hands Steven the glass. Peridot is lying one the sand with her back facing them
Steven:” umm is there any way I won’t have a big monocle floating in front of my face all the time?”
Blue pearl:”here-“
She opens up one of the screens (now blue) and taps a few buttons
The glass turns into a flat blue square
She hands it to Steven
When he touches it it change to a light pink color
Blue pearl: “place it on the top of you hand”
Steven puts it one the topside if his hand right above his wrist
It fattens down and disappears onto his skin
Steven:”whohhhh”
Peridot Peking over her shoulder
Steven:” how do I use it now?”
Blue pearl: “just double tap right where it is”
2 pink screens pop up on one is that writing he can’t read and on the other is yellow pearl (yellow diamonds pearl )
Yellow pearl: “ OH I see you got all up and running well congratulations!
Hay blue pearl show him how to take pictures!”
Yellow pearl poses
Blue pearl: “this is where you can draw”
Yellow pearl:”hayyyy!”
Steven double taps it again the screens go away back to his hand
Steven:”....”
Garnet pats Steven on the back
“your a leader now”
Steven:....”ya-.. I guess I am”
