Meaning: I like information more than feelings
No big deal, just go with the flow
As my data tells me so
Until goals are figured out and spoken
At which point: Rules are made to be broken.

Problem is: Too much intel drowns me
Caught in an Internet of misinformation
Voices, blogs, how-to talks from across the nation
Doing their best to
Compartmentalize and normalize
The cultural lies
Telling me, who to be, if I’m ever gonna be, happy.

You gotta Be (Don’t be Too) – Independent.
Have realistic dreams while you shoot for the stars
Compromise your standards on what’s not important (But don’t date Short or Fat guys!)
Be Sweet. Be Strong.
Acknowledge when I’m wrong.
Be Self-sufficient. Don’t be desperate.
Oops…too far. Men want to feel needed.
Let them come to you, even though women should initiate in this Modern Age.

Some women wish they could be single. ----Don’t you want a relationship?
She’s so shallow! ---Doesn’t she have standards?
You’re cute and sweet…..what’s wrong with you?
Buddy, I wish I knew.

So who’s to blame for expectations?
False belief and misinformation?
I can talk and theorize
Get counseling to unpack my baggage to carry-on size
Feel free to fly…with my solo ticket to nowhere.
