Prologue
In a small blue castle, in a little blue room, Tess Hinsey plays at a private tea party of five. One of the guests is Blane the bear, a slightly worn and tired bear of brown fur with two banded black ringlets around his eyes, sits straight across from Tess. The second guest is an old favorite of Tess’s. A small bluish hued elephant with a long trunk sits expectantly next to Blane the bear awaiting its tea with patience only stuffed animals are given to deal with small children. Frederick is his name if you ask Tess, although he won’t admit to it. Other’s include Hop the bunny a new acquaintances of sorts at the table and Gram a lonely tiger that rarely gets to dine with the Grand princess Tess.
On this occasion there is one more occupant and a guest of honor. He is Prince Brandon B. Stuff and Fluff a wrinkled and stained teddy bear accompanying his majesty that, it seems, is never far from her side. The prince is allowed many privileges not granted to other members of the Lady’s kingdom. One he is the only stuffed animal that may accompany Tess to the store, and is the only one allowed to share the bed of her Highness. Brandon B. on the whole is no different from any other stuffed animal, except he has the distinct privilege of being the first, her ladyship received.
Princess Tess herself is no more than a girl of five. She possesses long brown hair with a slight gingery tinge, large disarming sapphires of eyes, and a fair soft complexion.
A knock arrives at the door and little stick of a man enters, Sir Gregory is his na…. Oh.Who you ask? Who tells this cutesy little prattle of a story?
