The curves and lines of the subject in the stock image drew me in and moved me to recreate them as accurately as I could. Once the drawing was complete, it felt incomplete. Then I stumbled across a photo of an older drawing of a butterfly. I thought it would be cool to translate that butterfly into a tattoo to add more depth to the original drawing. I could bore you with the details of the entire process, but I'd rather save those for an inquiring mind who actually wants to know. Until then, I hope you enjoy.
