Trying out my new stamp-template.It really pisses me off when people act like they know what they're talking about...when they really don't and it shows. Especially when they talk in a condescending tone, like they know more about my own industry than I do...when their work doesn't show it and all they're doing is lousy anime drawings.
I didn't go through multiple emotional breakdowns, draw 1500 pages of animation in 8 months, be sleep-deprived through half of that, and wear out my drawing thumb for 5 fucking years in college...Only to get sneered at by anime-snobs who know nothing about the industry, other than the shows they watch. If you're going to act like a snobby asshole about it with me, you can just go fuck yourselves.
I know I sometimes have a condescending tone too, but that's me being a spiteful bitch because someone gave me a bad attitude in the first place. I don't like unnecessary bad attitudes.
And then there's people who say "YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING" about a certain subject...Even though you've spent years researching/studying said subject. Had some lady at a zoo give me a snide remark of "Do you work here? No," after briefly giving some corrected info about komodo dragons. Apparently, you have to be a zoo-keeper in order to be knowledgeable on a certain animal. I told her in the politest way possible: "Well, I've done about 3 research projects and papers on this lizard, so I'm sure I know what I'm talking about." ...All while I'm trying not to violently throw my sketchbook at her head and hoping that maybe I just misheard her or I was hearing things.
...This is why you should never assume anything about anybody. Either you'll piss them off, and/or make yourself look/sound incredibly ridiculous.
