Weapon Appearance and Functions: Ecto Beam is a beam based weapon that is made of powerful ghost materials.Basics: Gio can blast an Ecto Beam in all directions like Card Shuriken except up and down. The beams deal a bunch of damage if it all passes on one enemy, but it can also phase through an enemy while damaging it. When the beams hit the ground, wall, or ceiling, it will leave a residue there for a while that will damage enemies in contact.
Specialties: Ecto Beam has connection properties in their residue, so if there is a residue spot on the floor that correlates to another residue spot from the ceiling, a new Ecto Beam wall comes out that connects between the ceiling and floor and Gio can push that beam wall to make it move horizontally while wiping out every weak enemy on the way. But it despawns when it goes offscreen, so to make it stay as long as possible, Gio has to follow it until it's path ends.
Charge Stages: With the arm capsule upgrade, the first stage of charging is a beam that has an ice effect that can freeze enemies as well as shooting ice particles around it. The second charged stage is when the beam becomes a homing projectile that chases after enemies for a short while. The third and final stage is that instead of a beam, Gio wails out a massive soundwave out of his mouth the wipes out the entire side of the screen where Gio is facing, even strong enemies don't stand a chance against that.
