Description The other night, I dreamt a vast forest
Runestones and gnarled trees littered the landscape
Bewitching chants made me want to escape
But instilled a strange desire and base lust
To see whose voice was carried on the gust
'Neath oaken boughs my jaw was left agape
When the singer showed, a changing dark shape
An Aeonic thing that seeped from Earth's crust

I trembled before a being so old
Whose memory stretched 'til the first day
When Earth was moonless, empty, desolate
This creature had observed ages untold
And now it's hunger would claim me as prey
Alas, dreamer's luck! The dawn gives respite
