I love it. I have no criticism other than I think that the shaft for that pole-axe is a bit too thick. Also, above the circular gaurd, the wooden shaft looks white. Unless, of course, it was made of metal. But that would make the weapon extremely heavy at the top.

Wow, super cool! I always imagined the night watch of AnkhMorepork like this. Do you read Terry Pratchett?

This is fantastic! I love the look of the armor, it feels very authentic.
Would you mind if I did a sketch based on this pic?

Wow! Amazing work! Love it!
I was wandering if you could let me us this image for an Android game called "Kingdoms of Myth", it's turn based strategy game based on a fantasy World. You can find a little bit more info in this rough website made by my colleges [link] (Sorry for the bad English). Of course you will have full credits of your work and link to your webpage if you want
Lot of thanks for your time

Awesome work! Very detailed and accurate. I took this painting, amazing btw, and added a zombie's head underneath his foot but I give you all the credit.

Man that must have taken a long time to do. Time well spent though. Amazing job! I keep thinking he's gonna walk off the pic and patrol or go to a bar.

Nice gothic armour, looks German-made, early XVI century, similar to Albrecht DΓΌrer's drawings. Foot-mercenary, as it lacks leg protection and weapons are for close combat. But what I like most is his pose, natural and fluid. I have seen many paintings and drawings, and men-at-arms tend to look unnaturally rigid. Those armours were the best money could buy, and fitted the wearer like a glove.

wow is that some sort of spam within your comments? geez there is no end to how they try and get to you. Anyway, this is a fantastic painting. You may have answered this already but i didn't want to go through all the comments but did you paint this from a photo ref? Not that it would take away whasover from the great job you did painting i just feel that most artist use ref but every once in a while i come across someone who has done so many studies that they do much of thier work without ref and it always amazes me.
