ignored, neglected, and left to decay

yet again here I stay inside myself

trying so desperately to transmute dust to gold

to peddle the mundane to be so bold as to

build an alter of arrogance to worship my ignorance

to lead the blind with eyes sewn

marching boldly into the unknown

should I blame a mirror or blame another?

hate myself or hate my brother?

praise the curse or curse the praise?

lament the warmth of better days?

refuse? resist? rebuild? destroy?

erase? ignore? replace? enjoy?

in the end no matter the choice that's made

forever to me this pen shall be

another frail attempt at liberation

the distance between two points

my ruin and my salvation
