Part 4

Chloe walked out of the bathroom, strutting awkwardly in her new clothes. She once again wished that she had less skin showing.

The man was waiting for her in the living room, Chloe observed how nice and cozy his house was. "Oh, hey. Are you feeling a bit better now?" The man asked, there was something about his voice, maybe his British accent that made Chloe feel strange.

"Ahh, yeah, feeling much better" She replied, in a shy tone. "That's great. Uhm, I'm Chris by the way" The man said, Chloe thought she saw his cheeks color a bit. He seemed like a pretty quite guy.

"Hey, I'm- I'm Chloe" Chloe replied, stuttering as she uttered her new name, "It's good to meet you."

"Good to meet you too, make yourself comfortable. I'll get some tea and we can talk," Chris told her, running to the kitchen.

Chloe plopped herself down on the couch, without realising. She crossed her legs in a very girly manner. 'It just felt right,' Chloe thought.

Chris quickly came back with two hot cups of tea, one for him and one for her. "So, ah. If you don't mind me asking, how did you end up passed out on the beach?" The man asked.

"Well, Uhm, I was sailing. But then a storm came out of nowhere and... I just remember waking up on the sand and seeing you. Everything else, I can't remember anything else" Chloe said, her voice catching, she brushed her silky locks out of her face nervously.

'What now?' Chloe thought to herself, she could barely remember who she was as a guy. Her memories were fading, she didn't know where she lived, or what her job was or even if she had a partner. It was like she had to start from scratch in her new life.

"Wow, you've had a rough time. Do you have anywhere else to go?" Chris asked her, Chloe shook her head. "Well, you can stay here for as long as you like. Does that sound good?"

"You don't need to, I can take care of myself," Chloe said, blushing at the man's kindness. But the truth was the opposite of what she had said, she did. Well and truly need him.
