Story behind this. In an ONTD thread (I know, I know) for talk about a certain same-sex pairing in a show (and I'm not gonna say which it is, so don't even bother asking) I admitted it: I haaaaaaate this pair. Their characterizations are the worst combination of pushy and immature, and their overall dynamic makes me want to throw things. However at this rate the only way it looks like it won't be endgame is if something happens to one of the actors, which is a pretty shitty wish so let's not go there.
Cue the flame barrage: "ZOMG HOMOPHOBE UR A HORRIBLE PERSON KILLYOURSELF!!!!111!!2"
ha ha ha ha ha. You, who is likely just another privileged straightie fighting for your ally cookies (hint: they taste like rat poison) calling a bi woman homophobic over TV characters.
No, same-sex is NOT automatically better. Yes, it is a good thing TV writers are remembering that LGBT* people exist, but if you're gonna write them so loathsome or even worse, fetishize them...jesus christ.
